Join Food Justice Coalition and Planted Healing for a mind and body experiential cooking class. Vegan Chef, Jeanette Padilla, will lead the cooking portion of this class. Participants will learn how to utilize affordable plant-based proteinds to create delicious, nutrient-dense meals. Together, we will create two main dishes, a hibiscus agua fresca, and tortillas made from scratch. Participants will enjoy some food on site and create pepped meals to take home. This class will integrate nutritional psychotherapy as we explore the role of food in the mind-body connection. Nutritional psychotherapist, Melanie D. Davis--Founder of Planted Healing and Co-founder of Continuum Mind & Body Collaborative, will lead this portion of the class.
